Maintenance

To remove your Wingdow™ Seat from the window, either completely unscrew all the thumbnuts on the suction cup studs or pry the suction cups loose gently with the little tab on the edge of the cup using your fingernail. DO NOT TRY TO PULL THE SUCTION CUPS OFF USING THE WINGDOW™ SEAT OR ITS PERCH.

As with all of your bird’s furniture, clean the Wingdow™ Seat often and leave the wood to dry thoroughly before use. It’s best to sand the wood every few weeks or scrub it with a wire brush. Use water and soap on the perch only when absolutely necessary. The plastic parts should be washed by hand using a soft cloth. All pieces must be thoroughly rinsed to remove all soap residue. Dry with a soft towel.

You may prefer hard woods like Manzanita for perching. You can order one from us, or make your own by attaching a piece to the oak dowel, or replace the dowel with it. You could use the dowel as a drill guide. Holes in a new perch must be 7/32" in diameter, perfectly parallel and exactly 9 inches apart on center.

We use the best suction cups available to us. However after several years they may need to be replaced. All parts are available from us, or you may find reasonable substitutes at your home center.
